Worth the Price
Soprano, Violin, Clarinet, Trumpet, Double Bass and Piano
This is a song I developed during my fourth year of college, heavily influenced by Bernstein’s work. The comical text revolves around a woman who decides to venture with a prostitute. Among the various effects and references between musicians and soloists, I included a vibrator on the piano to create a continuous texture. Subsequently, I further developed the text into a libretto, titled Lust.
